This is a good film for all the wrong reasons. Deep down what makes this narrative possible is the most arrogant kind of elitism: reek of multi-lingual superiority and cultural capital. In short, its saccharine narrative of budding homo-sexuality conceals its disgusting moral.
Exquisitely lyrical and refreshing. Raw and organic. Full of tenderness and vulnerability as well as clarity and subtlety. I got totally struck, overwhelmed, and swooned by Timothée's gorgeously immaculate and penetrating performance. A must-see for all who longed and shattered.
